National Energy Productivity Plan
At its December 2015 meeting, the Energy Council agreed it had a significant contribution to make in a national, cooperative effort to better integrate energy and climate policy. A key part of this effort is the Council’s National Energy Productivity Plan (NEPP).
The Council agreed that improving our national energy productivity would be important in delivering greater value from the energy that Australians use.
The NEPP provides a framework and an initial economy-wide work plan designed to accelerate action to deliver a 40 per cent improvement in Australia’s energy productivity by 2030.
