Energy Working Group Bulletin No 43 - Review of Enforcement Regimes under the National Energy Laws
Publication date: Thursday, 28th April 2016.
In December 2014, the Energy Council agreed to task officials with implementing 11 of the 13 recommendations from the Review of Enforcement Regimes under the National Energy Laws (the Report). The purpose of the Report was to inform policy aimed at ensuring enforcement regimes continue to protect the interests of consumers and maintain the integrity of the energy market.
Officials have prepared a paper for consultation outlining proposed policy positions on recommendations 1, 7, 8 and 9 from the report.
Stakeholders are invited to provide written submissions on the consultation paper by COB Thursday 9 June 2016.
Submissions from this consultation will inform the development of the legal drafting for recommendations 1, 7 and 8 and the implementation of recommendation 9.
Released on Thursday 28 April 2016, Energy Market Reform Bulletin No. 43 provides an update on the status of the consultation paper and the methods for submission.
