Proposal for a National Energy Consumer Advocacy Body - Final Report (April 2013)

On 23 November 2012, as part of its energy market reform package, the former Standing Council on Energy and Resources agreed to develop a proposal for a national energy consumer advocacy body. On 22 January 2013 Dr John Tamblyn and Mr John Ryan were appointed to provide advice for the Council's consideration on an effective model for a national energy consumer advocacy body. Their final report was provided to the Council for consideration in April 2013.

A Directions Paper was also prepared by Dr Tamblyn and Mr Ryan to inform the public fora and to motivate discussion at the public forums held on 3 and 5 April 2013, to assist the expert advisors in developing a proposal for a national energy consumer advocacy body.
